What about Hand cut cobbles vs mesh backed cobbles?
Our hand cut cobbles are more economical over the total job. With mesh cobbles there is more wastage as the mesh does not exactly fit into the spaces required.
Mesh cobbles are also harder to set in the mortar bed and are not suitable for driveways, heavy traffic, or roads.
Visually, the effect of mesh-cobbles is generally more like coloured concrete blocks. Traditional hand cut cobbles give the classic cobblestone look you require. The individual stones allow for more flexibility in designs.
